Site Unseen

For site unseen Laurence Salzmann presents a series of photographs made while he acted as the GC on the renovations of 3610 Baring Street, a Victorian building in the Powelton Village section of Philadelphia. In the process of carrying out the renovations Salzmann discovered many traces or signs of past histories of the building embedded on walls and on the peeling paint and wall paper which was removed from many of its rooms. Were these ancestors of past residents longing to speak out and be acknowledged?
